It’s Anti-Bullying Week, and we wanted to make some noise to stand up for those who don’t feel they have a voice.
The NSPCC reports that nearly half of all children and young people are bullied at some point in their lives.* DoSomething.Org report that 43% of children have reported to be being bullied online**, and with the rise of smartphones in young people, it gives bullies 24/7 access to vulnerable individuals.
This week, 16th-20th November, the Anti-Bullying Alliance are making some noise about bullying to raise awareness.
At Smoothwall, we’re committed to making the internet a safer place for children. We don’t like bullies, and think that the internet should be a safe haven for children to learn, communicate and play.
If you’re dedicated to stop children being bullied, and want to know more about how you can help stop cyber bullying, Childnet have some great tips on how you can help. To show our support, we’ve started working with eSafe, and we’re now able to provide schools with a tool that monitors if children are being bullied online, and gives you the resources to intervene. Make sure no child has to suffer in silence, and contact us today for more information.
